Support and upgrade
Profit Tools is proud that our technical support team is at the top of the trucking technology industry, with over 90% of tech support requests handled successfully within the initial customer request call. Our response time for call backs is measured in minutes, not hours or days as it is with some of our competitors. In a recent customer survey 88% of customers replied that Profit Tools customer support has a speedy response time. Over 60% of new product development is driven by requests for new and updated features from our customers, so each new upgrade release has something for everyone.
We offer an optional support and upgrade service (SUS) to all our customers. SUS subscribers pay an annual or monthly fee based on a percentage of the total retail value of their Profit Tools software licenses. SUS is renewed annually on the anniversary of the customer's original installation date.
Customers enrolled in SUS are eligible to receive all major releases (3 per year) and any point releases available between major releases (if applicable, point releases are generally limited to minor adjustments or fixes), at no charge, including installation assistance (training may be needed in some cases, and will be chargeable). In addition to upgrades, SUS also provides technical support via telephone, online connection, or e-mail, at no cost to the subscriber. Technical support covers all Profit Tools products and support of companion software such as databases, mileage programs, or operating systems as these applications directly relate to the operation of Profit Tools trucking software.
SUS does not cover upgrades to companion software products such as Sybase or other database products, Pegasus (document imaging engine), PC*Miler or other mileage/routing databases, accounting applications, or any non-Profit Tools product or service. Any of these products may require upgrades from time to time for which there will be a separate fee. SUS does not include support of hardware, networks, or operating systems, although we do offer these services at competitive rates. SUS is not a substitute for training on the software. Problems encountered with Profit Tools functions or modules that result due to inadequate training will be addressed with training, not SUS support, and will incur training charges at our standard rates.
