OPERATIONS MODULE

Operations is the base module and the heart of the system. Data entry is rapid, especially with the use of shortcuts and templates, and there is never a need to enter the same information more than once. A glance at the color-coded Shipment Summary Screen makes it easy for users to track and manage active shipments, and to limit their view to show only the specific information they need at a particular time. For example, you can look at shipments by customer, destination, carrier assignment, scheduled delivery date, and various other criteria.

You can compile any available information from any grouping of shipments and produce reports formatted specifically to your needs. The company information screen handles contact information, carrier insurance and certification info, billing and credit status, and a wide range of other information including custom fields that you can tailor to suit your specific needs.

Operations includes Report Viewer and other options that enable you to produce a wide variety of reports, documents and forms, including output you can customize yourself or have us format to your specifications. Operations is compatible with Microsoft Word® and Excel® and will generate reports and forms through Word® and Excel® templates. Database access with report viewers such as Crystal Reports®, Infomaker®, and Microsoft Access® is also available.

Operations is a very cost-effective way to extend Profit Tools capabilities to many users. Staff members performing front office or management functions may need nothing more. Functions include order entry, active freight information and management, PU/Del scheduling and appointments, rating, generation of reports and documents, customer and carrier entry, entry of employee/user files, history/search, integration to PC*Miler® mileage and mapping software (sold separately), shipment and customer notes, and much more.

Custom data views from the Shipment Summary Screen are available to help you manage segments of your workload that are unique to your business. Each user requires at least an Operations License for access to the system, and for access to other licenses such as Dispatch and Billing.
